Xero XIII here this time. This was finished a few days ago, but we're just getting it up now - sorry about that. This was a pretty wild chapter, even for OnMnR. Is that the appropriate acronym for this series' name? OMR? Just Rena? Hmm...

Also, Hattori Mitsuru's current series, Sankarea, is being animated, and is set to air this spring. Look forward to it.

This chapter has been a long time in coming.  Thank you for your patience.  As I mentioned before, I've been on a road trip for the last six weeks and have found it a lot harder to keep up with editing than I thought it would be.  I've already driven well over 8000 miles, if that gives you any kind of idea.  I'll be getting home tomorrow though, and our normal editing schedule (for whatever that's worth) should resume then.  Enjoy, and look for chapter 43 to be coming out in the next few days.

Chapter 42 update

Just wanted to let you guys know that I am actually working on the chapter and it will be up eventually, probably as a double release with chapter 43.  I've been travelling across the US (already driven 3400+ miles) over the last two weeks and have a couple more weeks to go, and it's been harder to keep up with editing on the road than I thought it would be.  Thank you for your patience.

Ch 42 status update

Truth be told, I haven't even started on 42 yet.  Life has been kind of getting in the way.  However, it WILL be out in the next 10 days, as today was my last day at work (I quit), and I'm leaving on mah cross-country trip at that time.  42 will most likely be followed fairly closely by 43 and possibly 44.  Thanks for your patience.

Well I somehow managed to overflow a toilet, doing yet more damage to my house.... on the plus side, that made me stay home all day instead of wondering off somewhere else, so I managed to get this chapter done quicker.  Sigh...

Also, I think chapter 40 will be out soon (like in the next few days), so check back frequently.  :D

In other news, Noncomplatypus is just about finished translating the rest of the series, so releases just depend on our ability to clean and typeset chapters fast enough - which might not be the best thing. I believe our next series has also been chosen, but I'll let Z or Noncomplatypus fill everyone in on that when they feel it appropriate to do so.

I'm also feeling pretty proud of myself for re-drawing another two-page spread gap; but at the same, Hattori Mitsuru's constant placement of text directly over images may have finally driven me mad.

inb4 typo on the cover.  I know it's there, but I don't feel like delaying this release anymore, so just deal with it.  Won't happen again, though (at least not on the cover).

Most of the reason this took so long is because I've been ridiculously busy with work and life, so it took me a long time to edit chapter 36.  Truth be told, 37 was finished by CCHHunter way before mine was, but I didn't exactly want to release them out of order.

Speaking of which, I'd like to welcome our new editor, CCHHunter to the team!  We snagged him from the inactive SnoopyCool.  Their loss is our gain, I guess.  Welcome aboard, man!

Not much else to say, thanks for your patience and enjoy the double release.  I kind of forgot to post progress updates again... <.<;

Donate to help the relief effort in Japan

If you should feel so inclined, please go here to make a donation to one of a list of charities to help the relief effort of the earthquake and ensuing tsunami in Northeastern Honshu. 

That list appears to be all American charities, so I'm assuming you have to have an American credit card or whatever.  It also looks a bit complicated, and I know that might deter some people, so I'll be looking for simpler (and local) ways to do it (such as 3rd party billing through cell phone text messages).  I will be editing this post with those as I find them, although since between the three of us, we only speak a handful of languages (okay, Platypus "only" speaks several languages), I don't expect to get too far.  This is where you can come in, as I know we have readers from all over the world (Blogger stats are awesome).  It would be great if you guys could post in the comments here donation links for organizations local to your country, along with a brief description in English so we know it's appropriate and legit.  Also please make sure these are definitely going to the relief effort in Japan.  We will not be amused if something non-related in a language we don't understand ends up here. 

So to summarize: post your shit, try to make it as simple to get done as possible, give us a brief description of what the charity is and your country, and we'll put it up.  Anything international is cool too.  Any country is good, but we get a lot of pageviews specifically from (in alphabetical order):

Never-Never Town

Otogi no Kuni would be the japanese name for Never-Never Land. Otogi being the first part of the word Otogibanashi which means fairy-tale.
Rena's tale takes place in Otogi no Machi. If we disregard the kanji and focus on their pronunciation, the title of Otogi no Machi no Rena can mean Rena from Never-Never Town.

I just thought it was kind of interesting so I figured I'd share it.

Also looks to be our smallest file size yet.  This is what happens when I'm not the one doing the editing.  Well, maybe not the file size, but the speed, for sure.  And oh look, I figured out how to make the sample page show up bigger here again.... now I'm not sure if it got smaller before because we changed the way we were saving the images or I just somehow managed to change the setting when uploading it here.  Where am I and what is this?  I somehow get the feeling my confusion will amuse the other guys.. 

I think our new target will be to release a chapter once a month, therefore I will only be doing status updates when it's been more than that amount of time... and if I remember. 

Oh, Platypus might be posting later with a bit of etymology.. er, translation.. er, something kinda interesting.  At any rate, enjoy the new chapter, and listen to this on repeat while you read it. No really, do that last part, you won't regret it, particularly because I know you're all perverts.  :3
